Sangla valley which is about 12 hours drive from Shimla. It is at the base of the range which hosts mount Kailash. It was chilly the first day with rains, though the clouds gave way to the sun finally to help me view the majestic peaks guarding the valley from all sides.

Amazing quite place – a small population of about 800 people. You will find pine, apple, walnut trees every where while the flowers start appearing around July-August. The Bapsa river flows in the valley with clear blue water and trouts are in abundance for the fish lover. Winter is normal with snowfall in late December and January and the snow stay till April.
